ASHLAND, OR (October 14, 2026) – The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is proud to announce select casting and creative teams for its 2027 season, a lineup of nine productions exploring identity, self-discovery, and the moments that shape who we become.
Bringing these stories to life is a remarkable company of artists, including an extraordinary ensemble of OSF veterans and new voices. Together they will embody unforgettable characters, from Hamlet and Frida Kahlo to Nora Helmer and Shrek, bringing audiences stories that entertain, inspire, surprise, and delight. From epic Shakespearean journeys to the laugh-out-loud fun of
Shrek The Musical, the 2027 season offers something for devoted theatregoers, first-time visitors, and families alike, creating shared experiences that spark laughter, wonder, and connection.
“Theatre is a profoundly collaborative art form, and every actor, director, designer, and creative team member helps create the moments that stay with audiences long after they leave the theatre,” said Artistic Director Tim Bond. “The 2027 season explores what it means to become who we are, both individually and as a community, and I am thrilled to welcome this company of artists who will bring these stories to life with humor, heart, curiosity, and hope.”
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on December 2, 2026, with early access for OSF members starting in early November. For more information about the productions, casts, and creative teams, visit www.osfashland.org.

The Comedy of Errors
By
William Shakespeare
Directed by
Marcela Lorca
May 28 – October 16, 2027

A “merry feast” of mistaken identities
A stormy shipwreck separates two sets of twins at birth, a cataclysm that keeps them apart for years. When two of them boldly enter the bustling city of Ephesus in search of their respective twins, their arrival leads to several merrily madcap cases of confusion: wrongful accusations, wrongful imprisonments … and, technically, the wrong wives. The topsy-turvy mayhem and slapstick-fueled hilarity never stop in this early Shakespeare romp that has inspired comedies from the 1600s through today.
