FAIR Lighting Design Assistant, Jitney and Fat Ham
Noemi Barrera, making her OSF debut, is a Chicana lighting designer based in Los Angeles, California, whose work spans theatre, dance, and live events. She has designed for productions such as Fuente Ovejuna (LMU), Really Really (CSUF), and Twelfth Night (CSUF) and has assisted on projects at REDCAT and the Mark Taper Forum. Noemi was a Lighting Design Apprentice with Center Theatre Group and has designed for the Grammy Museum. She also works with the Latino Theatre Company and previously worked with Chautauqua Theatre Company. Noemi holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from California State University, Fullerton. She loves using light to shape powerful stories and create visually compelling, inclusive experiences.
