Gretchen Ugalde is a scenic designer based in Southern California, raised between the Bay Area and Cebu City, Philippines. Her recent credits include Gloria (University of California, Irvine), The Importance of Being Earnest (Maples Repertory Theatre), and serving as associate designer to Efren Delgadillo, Jr. for OSF’s Much Ado About Nothing and Jane Eyre. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Scenic Design at the University of California, Irvine (Class of 2026), where she’s eager to push her artistry to new heights.
