Gina Pisasale (she/her)
Dramaturg, The Importance of Being Earnest
Gina Pisasale is a dramaturg, educator, and mother. This is her 6th season at OSF! She is the Director of New Work and Resident Dramaturg at People’s Light, where she’s been a Company Member for 13 years. She has also dramaturged at Hedgerow Theatre, GoKash Productions, PlayPenn, Arden, Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival, and A&E Biographies. She has taught courses at University of the Arts and University of Maryland, and guest lectured at Villanova, University of Puget Sound, Temple, and University of Pittsburgh. Her areas of research include Asian American performance and representation, and she has presented at numerous conferences, including IFTR in Seoul, South Korea, LMDA, ASTR, AAA, PTRS, and CAATA. As an EDIA Facilitator, she has designed and run workshops at People’s Light, OSF, McCarter Theatre, West Chester University, Drexel University, and Rutgers. She recently served as the inaugural Director of Equity and Organizational Culture at McCarter Theater Center, Communications and Dramaturgy Associate at Hedgerow Theatre, and Audio Description Learning Network Fellow.
